A List of Some of the Best Twitter Clients in the Mac App Store

Twitter has become a ubiquitous technology on the Internet providing a place for friends to keep in touch, businesses to connect with customers and people with shared interests to exchange ideas. Indeed it has been instrumental in helping to organize several political revolutions and near revolutions in the past several years. As a relatively new user of Twitter, there’s one thing I have to say about Twitter, Too-Much-Information! You can get way too much information on Twitter to the point it is unusable if you are not using the proper tools.

A Twitter client can be useful in helping to filter the constant Twitter information stream. The Mac App Store has released several Twitter clients for the Apple Macintosh that are quite good at allowing one to manage multiple Twitter accounts and filter information down to a usable level.

Here is a list of some of the best Twitter clients available for this platform. Check back for a future posting addressing the best clients for the iPhone and iPad and other  Twitter capable platforms.

Twitter

Twitter, Inc. has released its own Twitter client on the Mac App Store.  This client is one of my personal favorites which I use all the time.  It allows you to easily manage multiple Twitter accounts and it provides a clean and simple interface to allow you to review @mentions and direct messages.  I’ve found this client to be extremely stable and reliable. And it’s free!
